This is a series of interim reports produced at various stages of the Lofts Farm Project.  They outline the progress of the Project and describe the most significant discoveries.  Only minor changes have been made to the original text for this year 2000 electronic publication, however, it does take advantage of the medium with regard to images and hyperlinks. 

The overall interpretation of the main features has not changed over the years but some important specialist reports are still outstanding and the work toward formal publication continues.  There has been a revision in the identification of some Bronze Age Hoard objects described in Interim 1981-83 .  Both the 'V' shaped and straight bronze fragments are now believed to have been binding around a 'hyde' shaped shield and were not related to sword chapes or scabbards.
